Strategy first
Tic-Tac-Tic-Tac-Toe starts from a familiar childhood game, then makes each move shape the next local board. The rule is compact, but it quickly creates forks, traps, tempo questions, and positions where short-term wins can send your opponent exactly where they want to go.
Daily puzzles
Nerd Snipe Daily offers one approachable logic problem per day. The puzzles should feel practical without becoming word problems with costumes: routing, scheduling, measurement, uncertainty, capacity, and other patterns that show up outside a classroom.
Built as experiments
These projects are also a way for me to play with the same ideas I teach: state, search, databases, latency, fairness, AI as a collaborator, and the difference between something that works once and something that keeps working for strangers.
