How it works
A small problem, a real structure, and a few ways in.
Nerd Snipe Daily should feel like the good kind of hallway question: simple enough to ask in a minute, sturdy enough that the answer rewards careful thinking. Some puzzles lean on algorithms, probability, scheduling, measurement, or systems thinking. Each one asks you to find the shape hiding inside the story.
Three targets
Solid solutions get the core idea right. Elegant solutions explain why the idea works. Stretch solutions push the problem a little farther, often by generalizing or finding the sharper argument.
Hints and pushback
The checker responds to reasoning, not final answers alone. It can give hints, notice missing cases, and nudge a nearly-right solution toward something cleaner.
Daily rhythm
A new puzzle appears each day at midnight Pacific time. I keep fallback puzzles ready so the daily challenge can continue even when live puzzle generation is unavailable.
